Light is also physics

The Faculty of Physics at Munich’s Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) can be reached not only from Schellingstraße, but also via a footbridge from the park-like Salinenhof.

Continuous slabs of Corten steel cat as railings on both sides. To illuminate this access route, LED light lines were embedded in the floor along the steel plates, accentuating the entrance to the building in warm white. The glare-free recessed floor luminaires made of stainless steel are covered with laminated
safety glass, which is also provided with a white passe-partout print.
